He registered with the South African Institute of Architects and the South African Council of Architects in 1945, reg. no. 899. He was recorded as a member of the Orange Free State Institute of Architects in 1958.

Daneel did work Bloemfontein, Pretoria and Durban. The Daneel family eventually moved to Pretoria in 1964. He sadly passed away in December 1968 in Pretoria from a major heart attack.

Chrysos's architectural practice was called DANEEL, SMIT & VILJOEN.
