Was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, leaving Amsterdam in 1896. He served as an architect and builder for the NZASM in Pretoria and later Bedfordview and Johannesburg. During the Anglo-Boer War he served in Platoon III with of the Hollander Corps, although recorded on the roll call list of Platoon IV in the papers of Comamandant VAN RIJSSE. After the war he was recorded as a building contractor. In 1913 07 11 he took South African citizenship. He died in Germiston. Articles citing KESTING Ploeger, J. 1957.
