It was used by the Shell Oil Company as their Head Office in Cape Town until 1979 and was then converted to a 170 room hotel for HOLIDAY INN. (Turtle SA) Became a PARK INN, date not available. Proclaimed a National monument 1961. (Cape Town History) Currently [2018] ONOMO Hotel CAPE TOWN - INN ON THE SQUARE (ONOMO).
