Little is currently known about Lucke's career. He trained as an architect at the University of the Witwatersrand and was one of the twelve proposed 'Alpha' members for Alpha Club at the University, his name having been put forward by R MARTIENSSEN.
He appears to have practised later in Natal. In 1959 and again in 1969 he is recorded as a salaried member of the Natal Housing Board. He died in Natal.
