Was born in Armagh, Ireland and educated at the Academy in Armagh, Queen's College, Galway and the Royal University of Ireland where he qualified in engineering. He came to the Transvaal in 1901 and entered into partnership with JS DONALDSON c1903 (cf. DONALDSON & MANN). The partnership ended in about 1906. Mann retired in 1937 but seems to have entered into partnership with or sold his practice to F JOUBERT in that year (cf MANN & JOUBERT).
