SHARP, GL Thornton

Was articled to Thomas Collcutt for four years from 1898 until about 1902 and studied at the Architectural Association, London. In 1899 he travelled in Germany and in 1900 spent a month sketching in Normandy. In 1902 he was living at Prospect House, Barnes Common, London and seems to have come to South Africa around 1904. In South Africa he was first employed as draughtsman in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, Pretoria from 1904 to 1906. Nothing more is known of him in South Africa after 1906.
