| | TALLIENS, JeanBorn: fl. 1905
Architect |
Attended the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and there became friendly with T SCHAERER. Schaerer invited Talliens to join him in entering the 1904 competition for the Transvaalische Bank in Johannesburg. Together they won the competition and it seems to have been about this time that Talliens was living in Cape Town where he was listed working as an architect in Cape Town in 1905. (Juta's dir CT 1905; see also SCHAERER) All truncated references not fully cited in 'References' are those of Joanna Walker's original text and cited in full in the 'Bibliography' entry of the Lexicon.
