BArch 1992 (Pretoria) - Final design title: Hoofkantoor Vir Nasionale Kultuurhistoriese Museum
Nico Botes grew up on the Eastern Transvaal highveld, where the simplicity of the landscape left a lasting impression. He obtained his BArch and MInt degrees at the University of Pretoria and has lectured at the institution since 1997 – formerly coordinating the programmes in interior architecture and now undergraduate selection and the combined first year design studio. He was the founding art editor of Innovate (a biannual faculty magazine), has adjudicated regional awards of merit for the South African Institute of Architects and has judged national design competitions.
