Was Vice-President-in-Chief of the Institute of South African Architects in 1942-1943. Recorded in 1959 as a salaried member of the TPIA of address 47 Glenhove Road, Melrose, Johannesburg, Transvaal. In 1969 he is recorded as a retired member of the TPIA, per address Brother Simon Borckenhagen of St Nicholas's Priory in Stellenbosch, Cape Province.
