BRINK, Basil Niel

Son of Christiaan Strauss BRINK.

BRINK, Basil Niel was born in Pretoria, South Africa on 6 April 1952.

He qualified as an architect at the University of Cape Town in June 1976.

He worked for Transnet Limited from September 1976 to December 2003. From September 1977 to July 1979 he studied at the University of Delft in the Netherlands where he obtained a MSc Town & Regional Planning in July 1979.

BRINK was a senior lecturer at the Department of Town and Regional Planning, the University of Johannesburg (UJ) from June 2005 to December 2009. He completed a PhD in 2010 at UJ entitled 'A systems approach to property management in state departments and state-owned enterprises.'

BRINK joined the University of South Africa on 1 April 2011 as a post doctoral researcher.
