He was the first Head of the University of the Free State, School of Architecture, where he is recorded in 1959 and again in 1969. He served as President of the Orange Free State Institute of Architects in 1956-1957 and again in 1961-1962. He served as Vice-President-in-Chief of the Institute of South African Arcitects in 1961-62 and President-in-Chief in 1962-63. References ISAA. 1959.
