Menu Home Upfront Now Up Books Towns Structures People Firms Lexicon HUGO, Jan Born: Architect MArch(prof) (Cum Laude) 2010 (Pretoria) Jan Hugo grew up in Hartbeespoort, South Africa, as one of four children. He graduated with a Masters degree at Pretoria University (2010) with distinction, receiving the Regional Corobrick second prize and the Johan Basson Energy Efficient Design Prize. He has worked at various architecture firms both in South Africa and South Korea. As part of an ongoing research project collaboration between the UP, UNDP and GEF he has published various articles on the carbon footprint and embodied energy of the BRT systems in South Africa. He is currently residing in Pretoria and working for MATHEWS & ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS (2015).
