When Gliksman registered in 1936 with the Institute of South African Architects, his address was c/o OBEL & OBEL in Johannesburg. He had taken the special qualifying war examination (Rand), meaning he probably trained overseas. In 1937 he entered into partnership with B JANKS (cf GLIKSMAN & JANKS) but the partnership was dissolved in May 1939, and he entered into partnership with one Dirksen (cf GLIKSMAN & DIRKSEN), practicing in Durban. In 1959 he was listed in partnership with EE AMSON (cf GLIKSMAN & AMSON) in Johannesburg. In 1959 their address was 301/2 Union Castle
