Master Craftsman


Born in Riedlingen, Germany, Graaff arrived in South Africa in 1775. He had qualified as a house carpenter by 1775, probably before his arrival, and became a master-carpenter after 1779. He worked as a craftsman at the Cape in the eighteenth century.
