Clare Burgess is a professional landscape architect with over 35 years of experience in planning, development and detailed design of urban spaces and landscapes. CBLA aims to create resilient and sustainable landscapes for all to enjoy now and in the future. Current work includes garden & landscape design projects for private clients in Cape Town and pro bono advice to local community organisations relating to design and maintenance of local public open spaces in Cape Town. Clare teaches undergraduate students in Landscape Design at CPUT and also post graduate students on the Master of Landscape Architecture course at the University of Cape Town as co-ordinator for the Plants and Design course. As Chairperson of TreeKeepers Cape Town voluntary organisation, Clare is actively promoting the conservation and planting of trees in the urban forest.
