Studied architecture at the School of Architecture, University of Cape Town from January 1926. He received his diploma in 1936. He was elected an Associate member of the RIBA in 1937. During his studies he was assistant to Leon NORMAN for three years, to S CHAPMAN for nine months, to J PERRY for four and a half years and to KALLENBACH, KENNEDY & FURNER for one and a half years. He entered into partnership with AH HONIKMAN in Cape Town in 1936 (cf HONIKMAN & LEEB). In 1959 he was in partnership with NF LUBYNSKI, WA RITCHIE-FALLON and NM NOALL (cf LUBYNSKI, LEEB, RITCHIE-FALLON & NOALL). He retired in 1980.
