When Rennie inspected the building in 1978, it was called Pearcemot House and was occupied by Pearce’s Motor Supplies. Since at least 2009 the building no longer carries the name Pearcemot House. Sometime between 1978 and 2009 a third storey was added, and three windows and an entrance door on the ground floor removed to create two new entrances and a drive-in for vehicles.
