See more photographs Award Citation An avenue of parking separates the warehouse from the distribution centre, each of which has a veneer of office space on the perimeter overlooking the respective warehouses, a programmatic requirement of the brief, and the dispatch functions are located on the book ends of the development. This is a bold solution, functionally and environmentally responsible to the vast spatial demands on the spur site with difficult orientation. Within the budgetary constraints of such utilitarian structures the architects have by modest means created a pleasing environment for the users and a presence for the Centre.
