Executed in a Romantic Brutalism declaring itself in the anti-formalist organic shapes, the relationships between the buildings and that of the buildings to the landscape. There is a frank use of basic materials, showing the planking formwork in the off-shutter concrete. (Greig, 1971: 113-114). BIERMANN equated seeing these residences to be like 'glimpsing rhinoceroses through the foliage'.
