Click to view large map Coordinates: | Corrugated iron shed structure. Used as the market building when situated on its original site to the south of the Library. Twice weekly sales would be held at the market. Produce would be laid out on trestle tables and in the evening the market bell would ring and the market master would begin the auction. When inclement weather impacted on a picnic day, the outing would not be postponed but would be held in this spacious building. A new Market Building was constructed in the 1930's just to the northeast, fronting onto Louis Trichard St. The old market building was subsequently relocated to its current site.
