Die hoeksteen van die kerkgebou is gelê deur komdt.genl. Piet Joubert op 10 April 1898 en op 29 April 1899 kon die gemeente in blymoedige feesstemming die kerkgebou inwy. (Morné van Rooyen) The cornerstone was laid by Com. Gen. Piet Joubert on 10 April 1898 and on 29 April 1899 the congregation in a cheerful festive mood inaugurated the church.
