Situated east of the Bank Railway Station. It comprised two 15m and one 5m plate girders on stone piers and abutments. It was twice badly damaged by Boer forces in the Anglo-Boer Warand repaired in similar fashion by the ROYAL ENGINEERS and still in use. In 1926 the original buttresses were encased in concrete.
