Exeter Park is one of three blocks of flats, the other two being Ajax and Achilles, which were named by the client in tribute to the three Royal Navy destroyers which attacked the German battleship Graf Spee during WW2 and led to its being scuttled in the Montevideo harbour in December 1939.
