Transcript of the National Monuments Council plaque:

THIS CHURCH WAS BUILT UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE
REV. T. FENCHEL BY NAMA MEMBERS OF THE MISSION
CONGREGATION AFTER THE PREVIOUS CHURCH WAS WASHED
AWAY IN 1890 BY THE AUB RIVER. IT WAS INAUGURATED
ON 8 MAY 1895.
