The house was constructed in 1880 for George Wedekind. By 1883 it had been sold to to H W Dalldorf who named it Hanover House. The M.O.T.H. club owned the building for many years from 1948. It was sold again circa 2005 and is now used as offices for the Old Mutual. (Gerald Humphrey, 2017)
