HEIDELBERG HERITAGE ASSOCIATION
HEIDELBERG METHODIST CHURCH
The church building was built in 1895.
The church first held services in a building
in a barn opposite the Heidelberg Club and
then later in a building at the back of Mr.
Weakley's Printing Shop. Rev W.B. Milward
(1890-1893) was the first minister. The T
section of the church was added in 1903.
The church boasted a fine set of organ pipes
which have since been removed. The
Stained Glass Window donated by the
English Community of Heidelberg in
1897, still carries the damage
inflicted on it during the
2nd Anglo Boer War
