The Legislative Assembly building succeeds in capturing the spirit of the territory. This has been achieved by exclusive use of Namibian motifs in the decorative treatment.

The flora and fauna of Namibia, its basic products, its minerals, timbers and marbles, its people and distinctive landscapes are depicted in murals, decorative wood cuts, wall panels and screens.

Arid desert landscapes and the beautiful game parks are depicted in murals. The artist responsible for the decoration of the building, its hall and passages, Mr. Kobus Esterhuysen, has attempted to speak in a language everyone can understand and enjoy.
