In the nineteen-twenties this single lane steel girder bridge with a span of 64 metres was built over the Crocodile River at Broederstroom.

On the right-hand embankment the steel structure rests on the customary reinforced concrete abutment. On the left-hand side of the river - because of a wide expanse of low ground - it rests on a concrete pier. From there two spans of concrete structure - each about 15m long - lead to sufficiently high ground.

The bridge is in sound condition. It would seem that it is still in limited use. Crossing the bridge the old path ends on a private property.
