Bliss Hall was designed by John Parker with a double gable above the main entrance and turrets on each corner. It was built with a grant from EA Goodnow in 1904 and named after a teacher, Anna Bliss. From 1970 it was used as a women’s hostel by the Wellington College of Education. A fire devastated the building in October 2000. Bliss Hall was rebuilt and continues to be a student residence for CPUT. (See the Wellington Heritage Trail).
