| Bliss Hall was designed by John Parker with a double gable above the main entrance and turrets on each corner. It was also built with a grant from AE Goodnow in 1904 and named after a teacher, Anna Bliss. From 1970 it was used as a women’s hostel by the Boland College of Education. A fire devastated the building in October 2000 and only the gabled façade survived. (see Show me SA website). |
