The school was originally 'Woodstock High School'. It was renamed 'Queen's Park High School' in 1955. (Arthur Radburn, October 2025) The foundation stone was laid by the Hon Sir Walter Hely Hutchinson, Governor of the Cape Colony, on 15 Nov 1905.
