The house has a heritage grading of 3B ("excellent example of its kind"). The city council notes that it is a "very good architectural example" and has "good interface with the streetscape". Nevertheless, a modern extension, out of keeping with the period style of the building, was added to the front of the house in 2020 or 2021.
