It appears that some time during Sir George Grey's term of office as Governor he ocupied this house, and that the main rooms were renovated for his tenure. (Picton-Seymour 1977:28)

The homestead was bought and restored by Désirée PICTON-SEYMOUR together with her husband, Michael Duckham, and daughter, Nicolette.
