Built in 1939, the old police station was designed in neo-Georgian style with symmetrical facade, sliding windows and an arched entrance with rustic finish. (Richardson, 2001: 268) Originally built in 1939 a new building was added on the western side in 2001. The 1939 section was declared a National Monument in 1991 and is now a Provincial Heritage Site.
