(SAB Nov 1935:43; SAB Dec 1935:53 tender date 1935) The Marist Brothers bought Belmont from the Ebden family in 1917, and moved St Joseph's College from Cape Town to the property. Proper school buildings were built, and added to over the years. The old house now serves as the main administrative building. (school website) Additional classrooms and the Chapel Block were added by HA McQUEEN in 1935. More known as St Joseph's Marist College today.
