1933: Alterations and additions for M Cornwall by B MANSERGH.

Henry Magor purchased the hotel from Ohlssons Breweries and named it Magor's Hotel. It was later destroyed by a fire.

Frank Stansfield bought the property, rebuilt it in 1905, and renamed it Bay View Hotel. The Soboil family owned and operated it. During the 1940s and 1950s it was considered “the place to stay” for visitors from Transvaal and Rhodesia. Monty Shapiro owned it for a brief period. In the 1970s it was transformed into an old age home and later converted into apartments, called Bay View Lodge.
