Pretoria Institute for Architecture (PIA)

The PIA has its origins in the Pretoria Architectural Society which was founded in 1945. The PIA is affiliated to the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA) and is one of eleven regional institutes.
In 2012 the Norman Eaton Medal was established by the Pretoria institute for Architecture to honor an architect or architectural practice in recognition of a significant body of work of lasting influence on the theory and practice of architecture within the Pretoria region.
