Tweespruit, Free State

Tweespruit is a settlement on the Free State-Kwazulu Natal railway line that was established after the Anglo Boer War for soldiers of the English regiments. During Union a research station was established here and there is now a large agricultural college. The name derives from two steams twee spruite converging.
