Also referred to as D'ORIGNY MAINON, Clovis.
Currently nothing is known of Mainon's origins nor of his training. He was first recorded in South Africa working in Johannesburg and Benoni between 1896 and 1899. He served during the Anglo-Boer War and returned to practice in Johannesburg about 1903. He worked in Benoni from about 1904, where he remained until 1930, and left for Cape Town on account of his health. He died in Cape Town on his eighty first birthday.
