A Lutheran missionary, one of two brothers who came to South Africa from East Prussia as missionaries, AJ Prozesky undertook the conversion of the Zulus, and lived and worked at Konigsberg from 1868 to 1900. The Anglo-Boer War forced him to leave the mission station and he was imprisoned at Eshowe but returned to Konigsberg where, before the war, he had built the Lutheran Mission Church.
