Nee COATON. Attended the School of Architecture, University of the Witwatersrand from 1932 until 1937 when she graduated, marrying CM SINCLAIR at about this time. While she was a student she had worked in Bernard COOKE's office from July 1935 to July 1936 as an assistant. On graduating she joined the office of STEWART, WR & AG for two months before travelling overseas and visiting Europe. On her return in November 1937 she entered DM SINCLAIR's office as an assistant. Her career from this point is not clear but she and her husband were in partnership with DM Sinclair from about 1938. She was elected an Associate member of the RIBA in 1939. By 1975 she had retired and had resigned from the RIBA.
