Is first recorded working in 'rm 160, SAR H.Q. Jhb' (ISAA Yr Bk 1931-32); he entered into partnership with L GRINKER, who had also worked in the SAR Offices at the same time as Skelly, in about 1932. According to Altshuler (1987) Skelly was the draughtsman for Grinker's schemes (cf GRINKER & SKELLY). The partnership was dissolved in 1937 after which Skelly continued to practise on his own account in Johannesburg. In 1959 he is recorded as a salaried member of the Transvaal Institute in the employ of the DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS of their address, Central Government Offices, Vermeulen Street Pretoria
