Worked in Johannesburg from about 1913 to 1919; Small came to South Africa from Scotland where he was a Fellow of the Society of Architects, Scotland. Drawings for a baptismal font for Yeoville Baptist Church, Johannesburg were illustrated in Building June 1919.
