Born in Skram, Vågsøy, Sogn and Fjordane, Norway. Currently nothing is known of Strömsöe's training. He married Bergljot Lem (born in Maurstad, Vågsøy, Sogn and Fjordane, Norway on 1889 09 26) on 1911 10 06 in St Olav Lutheran Church, Durban. He is first recorded working in Pretoria in 190? for the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT which he joined on a temporary basis in that year. He was appointed to the permanent staff as a second-grade draughtsman in 1912. He was not listed as working for the PWD in 1918 nor after this date. By 1928 he was working for the Olifants River Bridge Construction, Gompies (Gompiesrivier?). His wife died in 1948 and was buried in the Rebecca St Cemetery, Pretoria West. At some time he remarried one Raghild who died in Margate, South Africa on 1996 04 27. He resigned from the Institute of South African Architects in 1953. He died in Johannesburg. ISAA 1928.
