Was born in Cape Town, Cape Colony, son of John Edward Bull (1880-19??) and Ethel Mary nee Bowley (1882-1958) (Family Search).
Worked for FLH FLEMING in Johannesburg for seven years, around 1928 to 1934. BULL studied architecture part-time at the University of the Witwatersrand and graduated with a Diploma in Architecture in August 1935. He registered with the Institute of South African Architects in 1936. It seems he may have gone to Bloemfontein about this time. In 1939 he entered into partnership with W HARRISON in Bloemfontein (cf RHODES-HARRISON & BULL). During the Second World War the office was closed. On Bull's return from active service the practice recommenced in Bloemfontein. Bull retired in 1979.
He married Violet Marjorie Dorothy Claridge Deane (1911-1982) in the Orange Free State on 1937 06 13. He died in Welkom, Orange Free State.
