Currently little is known of Burman. He joined the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT in Pretoria in 1936 and was appointed architectural assistant grade 2 in 1937. In 1959 his address was 609, Volkskas Buildings, Market Street, Johannesburg. In 1969 he is recorded as partner and principal in the practice ARTHUR BURMAN and STEINBERG of address 806 Volskas Building, Market Street, Johannesburg, Transvaal.
