An architect who practised in Pietermaritzburg from 1928, MEANWELL was in partnership with ES CORNELIUS from about 1931 (cf CORNELIUS & MEANWELL). It appears that CORNELIUS worked in Durban and MEANWELL in Pietermaritzburg. He was on active service during the Second World War. After the War he entered into partnership with B ANDERSON (cf MEANWELL & ANDERSON). In 1959 he is recorded as being of Pietermaritzburg.
