Nothing is yet known of this Chandler's training nor of his relationship if any to the previous Albert Henry CHANDLER. In 1925 he joined the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT and by 1929 had been promoted to Senior Architectural Assistant in the Department. He was appointed Assistant Chief Architect, Grade 1 in 1935. He is recorded as retired in 1959, of 404 De Kock Street, Sunnyside, Pretoria. (ISAA mem list; PSL 1934, 1938).
