Douw Gerbrand STEENKAMP worked in Johannes Anthonie SMITH’s Port Elizabeth office and at some stage they must have formed a partnership, presumably SMITH & STEENKAMP. They worked together on the Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk in Bedford, Eastern Cape. They split up in the 1960s and STEENKAMP formed a partnership with Attie HARRIS (STEENKAMP & HARRIS) which became INTERPLAN in 1969.
