Menu Home Upfront Now Up Books Towns Structures People Firms Lexicon WEPENER, Franz J Born: fl 1936 Architect BArch (Pretoria) registered 1945, reg no 928, member of the TIA By 1948 Wepener had been senior architect in charge of housing for ISCOR at Vanderbijlpark, with Ross Gildenhuys as his assistant. Not liking the job much, he left to work for an architect there. He had met HWE STAUCH in 1936 when he was a student, and when Gildenhuys told him of an opening for a partner in STAUCH’s firm, he got in touch with STAUCH and joined the firm in 1948.
