Worked in Johannesburg from 1927. He exhibited at the South African Academy [of Arts] in 1928. In 1959 he is recorded as a salaried member of PO Birchley 'via Pretoria Railway Line'. In 1969 he is recorded as living in Kempton Park and as a salaried member of the DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS and stationed in the Supreme Court Building, Johannesburg.
